By this I assume you mean NCAA Division I schools that put all their athletic scholarship monies and focus toward distance and middle-distance running?
Several schools only sponsor men's cross country and do not sponsor men's track & field (e.g., Vanderbilt and Murray State are two that come to mind).
Others with no interest in building a well-rounded T&F program capable of competing for conference team titles in the sport of track & field would be:
Georgetown (track, but few field athletes)
Villanova (track, but few field athletes)
Columbia (track, but few field athletes)
Providence (distance only)
UNC-Greensboro (distance only)
American (distance only)
Iona (distance only)
Of course, one could certainly make the argument that if one's Athletic Director is okay with it, and not interested in competing for conference championships in T&F, why not focus on cross country. Afterall, you only need five to win a cross country team title. You usually need 15-18+ to win a track & field team title.
