Who do you think will win?
800m- Wheating stops Andrews' dominance
1500m- Wheating, but LEe Emanuel being fresh could challenge
Steeple- Matt Hughes
5k- i'm taking Chelanga, but with his health and depending how tired he is, i wouldn't be surprised if David McNeill could win it
10k- Chelanga, but if he DNF's because of injuries, i'm taking Barnicle
On the female side
800m- Phoebe Wright
1500m- Hasay pulls it off and finally lives up to her hype
Steeple- Bridget Franek
5k- Lisa Koll
10k- Lisa Koll
go ahead and throw in any sprints/field predictions

I agree except Andrews in the 800, and Hasay in the 1500.. I am rooting for her but she wont win the 1500 this year.

My wild-ass guesses:
800 - Wheating
15 - Emmanuel
Steeple - Bor
5K - McNeill
10K - Chelanga
Team: Florida
800 - Wright
15 - No idea, so I'll say Buckman?
Steeple - Franek
5K - Bizzarri
10K - Koll
Team: Oregon -
100 - Demps
200 - Sorillo
400 - James
800 - Andrews
1500 - Centro
5000 - McNeil
10000 - Chelanga
110HH - Ash
400IH - Dutch
4x1 - UF
4x4 - UF
Team - Florida
Women - TAMU -
800- it'll be tactical, and wheating will take it I think.
1500- wheating will be tired, Lee will take his kick out (like usual) will about 500 to go and barely win.
5k- david mcneil looked great at regionals just cruising...I don't think sam will be able to pull it off after the 10k finals.
10k- it's either going to be a very tactical race and come down to a kickers race, in which case it could come down to anyone (chelanga and cheruiyot) both have great kicks. but for people like barnicle, in order to have a chance they'll need to make sure it doesn't come down to a kick. if it goes out fast...the race will be much more interesting. I really think this race will be the best at nationals! I'd say chelanga, cheruiyot, kibet, both kosgeis, osman, uhl,and barnicle will be the top runners. they'll sort out who's who...barnicle should be the first american.
800- wright. or at least a girl from tenn.
1500- katie follett. watched her stay in complete control in her race and she looked relaxed and focused. smart racer.
3k steeple- ruth senior (new mexico) ran very well at altitude, raced minimum and will be very fresh. I'm going with her bc I think it'd be great if she pulled it off
5k- I'd say Angela has a HUGE advantage with Lisa having to run the 10k finals before the 5k finals...angela will be fresh. lisa has been running really well all year, but I think it would be great if angy B beat her. I think people have over looked the fact that angela has an amazing kick and can race anyone.
10k- obviously Koll. unless something ridiculous happens...
remember jenny B was a huge favorite during cross. -
the deuce go to mitchell, hands down...
-
Which Mitchell? They are both running really well.

I know what you're saying, but in my opinion his only chance is IF it comes down to a kick. Because if it's fast, he has zero chance. If it's slow, he has a small chance because he could still be around with 400m to go.
Either way, no one is beating a 27:08 runner unless he has a horrible day or does something profoundly stupid. -
800: Wheating over Andrews in 1:45
1500: Centrowitz in 3:37 a hair ahead of Wheating, with Emmanuel behind him
5k: Mcneil outkicks Chelanga and Bumbi, who come in a close second and third, followed by a big gap to fourth
10k: Chelanga big time -
Steeple- Richard Nelson

I agree. I picked Chelanga, but i'm keeping Barnicle in the back of my mind. what makes Barnicle have a chance is the injuries that Chelanga has been dealing with. if those injuries cause Chelanga to DNF, Barnicle could win it. Barnicle just needs to go out and run like he's in the lead because i doubt anyone is catching Chelanga. -
Bumbalough ahead of Derrick?
-
Oregon wins! Blood second in the 10 and 3rd in the 5.
-
Forgot about Derrick, though he hasn't seemed as strong as McNeil or Chelanga so far. I'll go McNeil, Chelanga, Bumbi with the lean over Derrick because it'll be his last collegiate race and he'll really want it.
-
800- Wheating over Andrews.
1500- Centro followed by Emanuel then Wheating
Steeple - Bor he was second last year and is Kenyan
5k - McNeil less than a second ahead of Chelenga
10k - Chelenga , 27:08 no one can come close to that
Dont' know much about women's mid distance but I say Koll in 5k/10k
It's been constantly rainy in Oregon recently so I'll take Oregon for the team titles. Southerners seem to be really uneasy running in the rain for some reason. -

If the 5K is slow and comes down to the kickers, I see Bumbalough beating Derrick. There's only a 1 second difference in their PRs. Hard to tell how fit Bumbi is since he was AWOL with mono for 2 months.
Chelanga should win easily in the 10K. It will likely be between him and McNeil in the 5K, though a slower race puts Bethke, Bumbi, Derrick, Heath, etc. in the mix. The 5K should be an awesome one. -

What the hell does this mean? It rains all the time in the south during the spring and summer. The 2009 SEC champs at UF were held in drizzling rain and on a wet track, with guys running 10.03, 10.08, 20.3x, 1:47, etc etc. If it's rainy and COLD weather (which, being the PNW could happen any time of year it seems) might be the straw, not rain alone. -
800-Andrews
1500-Centro
3ksteeple-Hughes
5k-McNeill
10K-Chelanga
800-Wright
1500-Browning
3ksteeple-Franek
5k-ASSELIN (all my choices are pretty standard except this one so I wanted to hilight it)
10k-Lisa "Robot" Koll -
I only really know distance so..
Men:
800: Wheating, Andrews
1500: Bolas, Emmanuel
Steeple: Hughes
5K: McNeill, Derrick
10K: Chelanga, Cheruiyot
Women:
800: Wright
1500: Shelia Reid
Steeple: Franek
5k: Bizzari, Asselin
10k: Koll -
They most likely meant cold rain. It remains cool and wet here in Oregon.
I am picking the Ducks to win them both !!
Wheating makes Andrews wait a year for an outdoor title. No way a duck loses this one at HOME !
