Bolder Boulder is this weekend and the men's teams look pretty evenly matched.
Team USA: Jorge Torres, Jason Hartman, Andrew Carlson
Team Colorado: Brent Vaughn, James Carney, Aaron Braun
Could this be the year that Team Colorado beats Team USA? It's never happened and Team Colorado looks legit this year. What if Team Colorado wins the team race in general, that's gotta be a fat bonus for them. May not be likely, but that would be pretty cool to see. Any thoughts?
On the Women's side, Team USA has World XC teammates: Amy Hastings, Magda, and Renee Metivier-Baillie. Should be a decent bunch as well.

I'm looking for Carney, Vaughn, and Carlson to mix it up. I think Jorge will struggle (just a hunch) as well as Hartman. Can someone tell me the last time Hartman ran a solid 10k on the roads?
-
What about Int'l team rosters?
AUS
Great Britain? -
Go to their website for the other team's entries, listed here: http://www.bolderboulder.com/Latest_News/internationalteam.htm

too bad team usa's women aren't exactly altitude runners, otherwise they'd have a shot a great finish. why didnt they look into maybe renee, jenny b, and tera moody? all altitude runners. just my opinion. and womens team colorado is a bunch of nobodies except former westerner ally williams. with all the great runners in CO surely they could've picked a more loaded field
-
Tera Moody should never be mentioned in the same breath as any of these 3 women. Tera is a solid minute behind any of these 3 for 10k. Altitude or not she is NOT competitive. For the record Amy trains in Mammoth and Magdalena makes regular stints to Flagstaff.
-
tera is not competitive?? riiiight. she was only fifth at the olympic marathon trials.
-
For the record, of the three you mentioned: tera is hurt, jenny said no, and renee is running on Team USA if you look at the entries again
-
wtf are you serious wrote:

Not for 10k she wasn't. Bolder Boulder is a 10k. Tera is overrated. There are 20 women that would beat her at 10k.
Brian Sell was 3rd in the last MARATHON TRIALS. He would also not be competitive. What a runner did in a race 26 months ago has no relevancy. -
what kind of shape is jorge in, has he raced since New York?
-
"pc is neither",
Not sure what issue you have with Tera Moody, but maybe you should do your homework. Look at Tera's road PR's at every distance from 5k-marathon and tell me she isn't one of the best women's road racers in the US. Not to mention she actually ran in the Bolder Boulder elite race last year.
She's an altitude trained runner actually living in Boulder. The the BB 10k is a very tough, a strength runner's course. Rest assured she would more then hold her own there any year.
As for referring to "a race that happened 26 months ago" as in the Olympic Trials. She actually just ran two marathons seven weeks apart in the fall. One happened to be the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS where she finished higher then she was ranked by PR in the field and then at the Chicago marathon she ran sub 2:32:59 which she followed with a 1:12 1/2 marathon.
Tera Moody is dang good road-racer. You could do a lot worse then having her on any team at that Bolder Boulder. -
There are plenty of quality racers. I do wonder whether regular altitude trained runners should be preferrentially chosen for a race like this
-
Again, as said before, Tera Moody is injured. From what I heard, she was supposed to run, but again is INJURED. So enough with the Tera Moody should have been picked debate. She was but can't because she is INJURED. Also, not that it matters, but she lives in colorado springs not boulder right now.
-
Tera Moody should try to beat Irina Mikitenko.
-
Maybe I was hallucinating. However on my way to work in boulder I just saw Galen sweating in short shorts with a bib on campus prior to the start
-
are results anywhere yet?
-
This is possibly the sh!ttiest coverage I've ever seen.
-
They said Tera raced, so, so much for the injury thing. The weird thing is the teams were totally different than advertised.
This is what was advertised:
Team USA: Jorge Torres, Jason Hartman, Andrew Carlson
Team Colorado: Brent Vaughn, James Carney, Aaron Braun
What I saw:
Carney was on USA, Hartman was on Colorado. Jorge didn't run. Eduardo did. I didn't hear Vaughn's name. I think I saw Fasil Bizuneh outkick an Ethiopian. It will be interesting to see who actually started this race.
Carrie Messner-Vickers was the first USA woman? Where did that come from? -
eduardo retired dumb ass
-
race updates please??
