The earlier post on strides has me a bit consfused on what the difference is between strides & Fartlek workouts.
Strides are, as per the other thread, short hard efforts with FULL RECOVERY, and a fairly low total volume.
Fartlek is running where you run some portions harder and some portions easier, but you never fully recover, and you also will probably never be running as hard as you would in strides. A Fartlek is a aerobic/stamina workout with some faster stuff built in, for example, 40 minutes alternating between easy and 10k pace 1 minute each.
