seems like most american elites are pretty humble and sincere.
the haters on LR seems to have pushing this "us against them" argument for years.
seems like many haters here believe the following:
1. Americans are smarter and understand the technicalities of training better. Africans do not understand trainmen as well, they just try really hard, there is not much systematic planning involved in their training. They don't pay as much attention to detail.
2. American runners have a stronger moral conscience than European and Moroccan/Algerian runners, therefore they are less likely to use PED's.
3. Foreign sports agencies are more corrupt than American ones.
4. Americans are the ones who are on the cutting edge of science technology.Think anti gravity treadmills, physio therapists, nutritionists, altitude chambers, etc.
5. The effort of an American elite runner is more respectable because he is at a genetic and environmental disadvantage compared to Africans. They had a head start in training.
