Chris Derrick easily puts away Oregons Distance Runners!

OU is Oklahoma. UO is Oregon. But ya, Stanford and Derrick did very well for themselves.

I would be very curious to see Centrowitz take on that event and see how he would do against Derrick. I think he would do well. But maybe I'm just stereotyping him because his dad was a former AR holder in the 5K and most identifiable with that event.

My bad on the typo. But yes the best runners from the UO were at the meet and competed.

This was a TRACK MEET. NOT a distance carnival. Distance, Mid D, Sprints, Throws, Jumps and multis. Oregon has the better track team... not the better distance squad. Not sure why there is even a discussion about this.

Perhaps you could have some of the UO football guys jack a car, drive down to Palo Alto, and punch some of the Cardinal athletes. You know, Boise-style.

I counted 8 times in the thread that I spelled it Stanford and twice where I spelled it Standford. Sorry for the typos. But if it kills you then so be it. Standford would have won had it not been for one UO athlete.

To answer another poster, the reason we are talking about the distance runners is because that is what the thread is about. I don't care what the team scores were for the meet. I'm not talking about the meet as a whole. Notice the title of the thread. Props to Chris Derrick for beating down the UO DISTANCE runners. Which he did. I only went further because you guys can't stay on topic. Your feelings get hurt real easy in Oregon. Tampons! Use them.
