The guy ran 12:52 at 18 years of age in a championship race outkicking El G, so he definitely has the talent to do so.

Which is just what this guy is. Just another Kenyan that runs 12.5X.XX for 5000m, is talented, ya ya, so what.
Choge pretty much does this every year - explodes in Doha with a big run (last year 1500m I believe), will go well into the first few weeks of June (usually one or two meets) and then completely flame out when the heavy hitters (like Bekele, Lagat) come along.
Btw, that guy will NEVER break 12.40 for 5000m.

LOL....This forum is full of idiots.Eliud Kipchoge is different from Augustine Choge.Augustine did not go to Doha,because there was no 1500M in Doha.he will be running in a local event in Eldoret kenya today.
As to whether Eliud can crack 12.40s this year.I think he can.he is more focussed and also Bekele is out of the way.In the previous years Jos hermens has who manages both of them has always given Bekele priority in terms of meetings and opportunities to run fast times.This year Hermenes has no option but to focus on Kipchoge lest he does not make much money.
He ran that time in 91F with high humidity where race went out in :57 and 2:00 and 4:05. I would consider that impressive. Kipchoge will be tough to beat this year.
If you want to run sub 13 you need to be in whatever race this man is entered in.

The humidity was low and the race was at night. The dew point was 54 -- great for running.
