    That is pretty cool.But a little disheartening to see no American has broke 3:50 since 1991.

    Let's see, no one has broken it since '91 and it has only been broken twice since '86. Umm, that's getting close to twice in 20 years and none in 15 years. Sad.

    No, Falcon was last addition to the American Sub-3:50 club (1990), but Spivey was the last American to run sub-3:50 (1991).

    The way US milers are performing we may not see another sub 3:50 mile in a very long time. There is no US miler today that seems to be able to run fast over any extended period of time.

    Something is wrong with the way US milers are being coached today. None of them seem able to break 3:54.

    Today US milers are no faster than their counterparts in 1975.

    The US sub 3:50 mile drought has lasted almost as long as the entire run of the Simpsons.
