Hey all, hope all is well. 61 miles this week with 14 Friday and a 7x1600 progression this morning. the first 3 were basically warm up and the last 4 progressed from 6:40 down to 5:50.
Continuing with the topics you folks suggested a few weeks back...
Topics: Unfortunately, you all talked about minimal shoes before I joined the discussion thread, so how about a) Training in racing flats: what fraction of your weekly miles do you log in racing flats? What's the furthest distance you will train in them?, or b) Junk miles: What do you consider junk miles? Do you count them? If so, how? For example, I live 1.3 miles from work, I usually walk, but sometimes I'll run it...I don't count 'em.
I only wear flats during hard workouts like this morning. So about once a week for me. The longest training run I'll do is 14 miles but I'll wear them for all races including the marathon. Junk miles: I count all miles including warm up and cool down miles. They're all running miles right. If I ran 1.3 miles from work like you lucKY2B then yes I'd count em. But that's just me.
