Did anyone see Vig get assaulted by security at Penn?

haha yeah, I was there and the security was raining on my parade all day. They were everywhere, telling me not to do anything. But it was still very fun. I almost got UVA's 4x800 autographs

Ain't that just like Vig, the rules at meets are always for everyone other than the teams that he is coaching at the moment. Someone shoulda called the NCAA on him, maybe submit one of those anonymous online forms, oh wait, that's what he does at the drop of a hat.

he was excited after seeing his freshman outkick the fastest 800 guy in the country, he rushed the track and once he chilled out and realized it was against the rules he backed off, its not like hes been bitching and moaning about the sitiation

Yeah, I was standing right there when it happened. It was a little over aggressive to be throwing around a skinny white dude. It's not like he was a threat. And Bolt was long gone, his race was 2 hours prior. Vig handled it well, though, he laughed it off.

Not hardly. I don't have a pref. for either program ... just something bizarre to see. I was 15-20 feet away, I guess. I'm not criticizing Vig, either, more critical of security for being so f'ing aggressive to someone who was about to get on the track anyway. I mean, they don't know who from what, just look at the tag and if it ain't right, they're trained to be beasts, I guess.

Saw an old man tasered to death. Over 400 deaths each year from tasers applied by Police.

I heard about but missed it.

The security people were there for hours and finally got a chance for some action I guess.

It was cool to see Bolt there but it was a real pain to get anywhere at the stadium and I had an all access pass.

I was not there......but were coaches let on the field and they just stoped him?? When I watched the flotrack video the on the second lap of the 3rd leg the Oregon coach is on the track.

I saw a lot of folks getting stood up by security, and as far as I could tell, they all were trying to go or sit where they didn't belong. I'm certain Vig had an opportunity to get the credentials he needed to get where he needed to be. Does a coach need to be on the field when his team wins? Nope. It is their moment and I'm sure they can handle it alone.

I really enjoyed the meet, and I had no trouble with security. I did have trouble with any number of fans and competitors that wanted to sit in my seat.

Buy a ticket and sit where it says to sit. If you're a competitor, sit where they tell you to sit. If you're a coach, get your credintials in order ahead of time.
