I am a 20 year old male who returned to running a month ago after about 18 months off due to an accident.
Before then, I had PRs of 4:35 and 9:50 off of 50 to 60 MPW and very little track work.
In five months' time, I would not only like to be back in racing shape and injury-free, but also would like to run below 9:30 for the two mile run.
Any suggestions on a rough plan for how to get there?
I don't intend for this to become a mileage vs. quality or daniels vs. lydiard debate. I am just wondering how I might optimize my progression after I get back into some significant mileage.
