So apparently the Boston Marathon messed up my time. Originally I was listed as 3:02:55. But now I'm listed as over four and half hours. My 40k split is listed as 2:53:43. I also recieved several calls and texts from people saying that the website had my time listed as 3:02:55. My question is how do I go about changing this the BAA. Is there a way that they can change this, also why would something like this happen.

Send an e-mail to the race, they may be able to check what happened and get it corrected. They should be able to check photos/video to adjust. Make sure you tell them your number, etc.
or could it be that your finishing time is right and your 40k split is about 4:15? that seems about right for you.

I would care if my listed time was "2:30:55" and I really ran 2:29:xx or something like that, but at 3:02 why do you even care?
If friends want to know how you did you should just tell them that you had to walk after 20 miles and did a 4:30. That is less embarrassing than admitting a 3:02 real effort. At 21 yrs old at least.
