some of those guys might not be retired, but I doubt they could still run a 4 min mile. For instance, even if Alan Culpeper is not retired, he is an old marathoner now, I would be very surprised if he still has that kind of speed.

It absolutely blows my mind that we have over 100 sub-4milers CURRENTLY running. Yeah, there might be a few who are not in that kind of shape anymore...but I would guess that most are. What other country has that kind of depth? (other than kenya, ethiopia).
