I don't know where my coach got the idea that I'm a 9:15 3200m runner, but I'm just flat out not. They keep giving me workouts based on this fitness level, and having me go out at that pace in races, and then they seem so disappointed when I can't finish the workout, or close the race with a painfully slow 800m. I'm a 9:35 guy, I've run between 9:30 and 9:40 4 times now, I can not run 9:15, but my coach doesn't understand that. I've frequently told them that I think the times they ask me to hit are a little two ambitious, but they just say I have to want it, and dig it out, and that I can do it if I think I can.
I don't know what to do, if I run even splits and run like 9:28, my coach will probably still be disappointed, and also angry that I "Didn't go after it"
