Is it a wonder it's the greatest track conference in the NCAA?

Can we get some info about SAT scores for members of said SEC track teams?
And... SEC sucks at basketball.
You should try to get to the SEC Championships some day soon if you can. I went last year at UF. For me, leaps and bounds better than any Regional meet I've been to (when they had the 4 regions anyway), and as exciting as the national champs. There's not quite the distance running depth, obviously, but the sprints are pretty much the national finals, the jumps are outstanding, and a lot of these guys know each other and many knew each other from high school. The intensity of the rivalries is HIGH. Pride flows deep. And everyone has to show up to make sure their team scores as much as possible at the meet.
Mine was a 2150.

I'm guessing you aren't a member of Florida's 4X4, eh?
Probably a 14:45 dude from Vanderbilt....
I PRed in high school with a 53, if that answers your question. ;)
And I'd like to be a 14:45 guy from Vandy. Can 2150 even get into Vandy, haha?
I was a 1440 (year before they switched to the 2400 scale)
Kids come to the SEC from all over the country. Who wants to train indoors when you can train outside all year? It means that many runners in SEC states have to go west or north.

It can. Old 1440~=2150=~32 ACT. Ended up not going there, which in hindsight may have been a poor move. Nashville is by far the best city in the state and one of the best in the country IMO.

What does this have to do with anything? What about the SAT scores for any other major conference? I'm sure the athletes in the PAC-10 are crushing the board exams. News flash: athletes aren't smart! Maybe you should ask yourself why the other conferences can't compete at athletics. I guess if we were talking about brain brawl your question would have some merit. What was your SAT score? I'd post mine, but guess what - nobody cares!

you have obviously never been to chattaboogie.
Not to be overly critical of the OP, or the brojos, but the SEC having eight ranked teams is not an overwhelming number...
The Big 12 currently has six teams in the top 25: Texas A&M (2), Texas Tech (4), Nebraska (12), Oklahoma (13), Baylor (14), and Kansas State (22)
The Pac 10 has five ranked teams: Oregon (3), USC (6), Arizona State (10), Califonia (19) Washington State (23).
Yes, the SEC has the most teams in the top 25 and a higher percentage of its members ranked then either the Big 12 or Pac 10. However, I would not say it is ridiculous.
What is ridiculous is 19 of the ranked teams in the country coming from three conferences.
