I'm running in a marathon this spring, and am curious about road racing flats. I'm not too concerned with being in the race and running fast, I'm just hoping to be sub 2:50.
Would there be any real benefit to wearing flats, or could it do more harm than good? If I choose to wear them, how should I break them in? How much running should I put into the shoes before the race to be sure that they're broken in, but not broken down?
My last marathon, and all of my training runs are simply done in trainers. Any help would be great.
