Does anyone know what spike Bekele was wearing for the 5K world indoor record? At first I thought it was the Zoom Miler, but the Miler does not have a white spike plate. Than, I thought it might be the Eldoret, but that also does not have a white spike plate. Probably custom made, but let me know your opinions.

Just a guess, but at the WC, i believe he was wearing the shifts. Mabey its a shift plate with an eldoret 2 upper.
I heard a lot of the elites have customized spike plates with the upper design of the new spikes their company is trying to sell.
Kennedy used to run in spikes with the Kennedy upper and the Eldoret plate.
Bekele has big quads.. for a distance guy...and he also has a big back kick on his strides.. it looks like his back foot kicks all the way back to his upper hamstring..
weird form.. he has short legs.. and is pigeon toed...

what i want to get, is the spikes that Lincoln is wearing in his picture in the new T&FN. he's got miler uppers, with Jasari plates. i saw them, and tried them on this summer--met a guy with them, and he told me they were the eldorett II's. man, i'd love to get that spike, it felt like it was made specifically for my foot!
You can find these in the eastbay catalogue, El G wears them... forget the name though. Actaully there are 2 different shoes that look almost exactly the same, except for the spike plate. And one of them does have the Jasari spike plate. Also one is 5.2 Oz and the other is 4.8 Oz.

I love remember noticing the same thing back in early college days. It would sure be cool to pick up a pair or r/b/y jasari's w/b jasari's or black w/green outline swoosh with the old eldoret plate.
