lets be real here, the only competition they get is in state competition. nothing has really changed in the last 10 years, adams and western are still the 2 best teams. they will beat everyone else at altitude or at sea level, it doesn't really matter.

Agree. How the heck could the NCAA think that 5000' provides a FAIR playing field for a national championship. Shame on the games committee and if ASC pulls out a national title an "*" should be place in the history books.

Really its true. This is a wind aided meet for altitude teams.

Reflects poorly on the Colorado teams although its not their fault. I have a lot of respect for them and their accomplishments.

This meet just diminishes their ability as well as pokes fun at and embarrasses visiting teams. It's petty sad. Seems someone should be DQ'd for unsportsmanlike conduct but it ain't the athletes.

If Braun wants to celebrate let him he has had a hell of a career and great example of how much you can improve with a great coach and a lot of hard work.

DII is on the rise this year. Great work to all the athletes who qualified; do your thing.

I have to agree, I was one of the people who didn't run fast enough this year but I'm not too bitter. 4:08 is what it took to get in, normally 4:12low is about what it takes but altitude conversions or not this is the right step for D2 (not hosting @ 5300') but the overall times getting faster across the board. Let's face it, unless the division gets faster as a whole we'll always be laughed at by the bigger fish running in Fayettville this weekend.

Why so bitter guys? I've seen Braun, Medigovich, and other Adams guys run just as well at sea level. I do recall Braun taking a huge risk against the likes of Rupp and Lagat. A little more experience and he may have been able to hold on.

I was at the meet last weekend and it was apparent to me that Adams would have won that meet no matter where it was held. They consisted of half of the field in the mile/5k. It would have been a disaster if they didn't win. There were only 3 non-altitude athletes in the 5k and two of them scored. It seems to me that the altitude athletes are just better because the non-altitude runners couldn't even qualify for the meet.

You should mention that a significant number of DII teams don't participate in indoor track.
