There should be a race where the prereq is that you have to weigh over 250 lbs. I wonder how fast a 250+lbs runner can run a 5K.

Down hill, these guys are elite.
its called the the USA Clydesdale and Filly Association. You can't run unless you weigh 200 (someplaces 190 or 180) lbs. Women usually 140 or 145. Occasionally, those guys run pretty fast . . . I had a friend in college who was a 205' jav man and he weighed 220 or so, could pop a 16:50 5K . . . was regionally ranked in Clydesdale
Most probably are not that fast, but boy do they have endurance. There are some whales that go to the track everyday and walk (inside lane of course)for a long time. I mean they can walk forever.
Forget this 'clydesdale' rubbish, there should be a fat ruling, they should measure body fat, and only let you compete if you have 40% plus, those truffle shufflers could then give us a race, maybe around the inside of a circus big top.
Weight is relative. Some running backs in the NFL are 5'10 and 200 pounds. I believe Emmit Smith is close to that size. They aren't fat but are fast as lightning and in great shape. They just have large and muscular frames.
The only people racing would be the medical staff trying to handle all of the heart attacks. If your a morbid person it could be pretty funny though.
Hey, we could have a pool on who would go in to cardiac arrest first. This could be fun!
