I thought Craig Virgin Died when I Got to Letsrun today - Black background, really?

Yeah, pretty dumb. Especially with the logo image on a white background.

The everyday homepage of letsrun is garbage, this is worst. Whoever is responsible for the webpage design for this site needs to be fired!!!!!!!!

Note to self:

When doing future webpage or powerpoint designs, never put blue words on a black background. It's impossible to read.

Yup, I was one of those.

I think they were busy looking up 'evidentiary documentation'....

Unfortunately, it's possible he could have died, given all his health problems.

First thing in red it says "30 Years Ago Today - History Was Made"

That didn't make me think any one was dead.

Yeah, I, too, thought he had died.

But looking at the video, my first thought was how much more speed is involved at the world championship level today. I don't doubt that Virgin could have run as fast as Tegenkemp or Ritz, but, back then - before the on slaught of the altitude crowd - things were a bit easier.

I thought he died, then I found out he didn't die, so I got over it.

Make your own friggin websites if you are going to bitch all the time.

I too thought Virgin had died. Poor choice fellas. For those that can't read blue on black, left click and highlight the text.

Another forum I belong to goes into Black mode if a known member passes away.

The formatting is easier to read than the format in this example, but the color choices still register as funeral-esque for a lot of people.

You guys are complaining about the layout of this site? Uh cmon it's not really noted for it's stylish presence. I mean the normal site looks like something straight out of the 90's geocities sites built through notepad for use on netscape, searchable through lycos and infoseek.

count me in as well...I thought somebody had died and was literally bracing up for the news.
