no he competed this season. I thought that his DNF and DNS at big 12 in mile and 3000m were caused from a simple ankle sprain. Does anyone know what actually happened or why he is not competing at ncaas?
according to a couple friends, his problems at big 12's, were not of anything that serious.
that's just what a guy said off their team, no clue how accurate his words are.
my guess is david is hiding german.
What's up with Dorian not running the mile? That surprised me to see him only listed for the 3,000m.
Ulrey also running dmr.
focus is on world xc.

It looks like none of this year's sub-4 milers will be left home. Still crazy to think that you had to run sub-4 to make NCAAs this year.
Merber FTW, Lee Emmanuel second
Why?Oversized and 200 m banked tracks have changed the landscape tremendously. Look what facilities produced the majority of the qualifiers.

This is not the first year that people have been able to run on oversized or banked tracks.
Elijah Greer FT2nd!
Watch out for Riley Masters.....BEAST
Well, myopic, many more schools are sending athletes to compete at these facilities, which were few and far between 20 years ago.
you suck friendO wrote:

Well schools like Oregon used to not take indoor track seriously for decades and they account for a few of those sub 4's this season. Along with Oregon getting serious I think the whole Pac-10 has put more emphasis on it in comparison to early 2K and the 80's and 90's.
There is another thing that should be taken into account for the depth BESIDES the tracks. How about the year after year high levels of talent at the high school level and the massive amount of runners under 3:40 and 13:30 in the NCAA outdoors last year? It's a lot more than the great indoor tracks, it's a huge amount of great runners taking it seriously. If you didn't run 13:52 indoors you aren't going to NCAA's. That's pretty sick. You look at how deep those lists are and you don't even have guys like centro and german who each could have been near the top of all the lists at 1500-5K. The four probably best milers (Ulrey, Centro, Wheating & German) aren't running the event and it's still loaded with depth.
Chelanga, Centro and German are all guys who can go under 7:50 in the 3K, but even without them there is a pool of guys right in that range.
The NCAA is pretty nuts right now.
