Why should I work? Lebron James doesn't work, singer, entertainers don't work. Big bankers don't work, insurance people don't work, realtors don't work, Congress doesn't work.

I've wondered the same thing many times. Those bankers who lost billions, they didn't lose their so called jobs.
They were GIVEN billions in made up (printed up?) money to continue whatever it is they do!
The USA should take advantage of it's world leader status and just print up money and give it to everyone in it's borders. Let China do the work for us. Why are American's working 12 hour shifts for next to nothing like slaves, and millions of other have no jobs or are imprisoned.
Meanwhile the billionaires get richer.

My nephew got all excited about this last year after he wathced it, and was trying to explain how we were all slaves (well, not him, he was a trying to not drop out of high school, while mooching of the money proveded by his "enslaved" parents). I managed to sit through 10 minutes of that drivel. He's still avoiding slavery; unemployed living with his grandma, talking about the evils of employment (rather ironic, since he's never experienced it). I suspect you share some characteristics with him...

Capitalism enforces a strict class system, with the labor of the many enriching the few owners.
The fact that the tiny owning class has nearly all of the net worth does not prevent the vast majority of its members from being miserable and unhappy people.

Thomas Jefferson thought that employment was "wage slavery" and envisioned a country where everyone eventually would be self employed or would own a farm which would be a form of self employment. Didn't quite work out that way.
Thank god we aren't all farmers.

As for all of those who are crying about your low US wages, try to live in a third world country and get by on a sweatshop salary.
When you have paid millions of mortgage dollars to banks over a lifetime and then watched the government bail them out with even more of Your hard earned then you have to admit this guy does have a point.

not clear what your motivation is. Why would anyone want to earn wages that are extremely low relative to management? Or support people who champion that kind of inequality? And the fact is that on a 'middle class' salary, or in fact a good deal less than that, you can live like a king in a third world country. On 30 to 40k, as an expatriate, you can have a huge house with half a dozen servants, a pool, etc. Cost of living in this country is extremely high relative to income. The housing bubble was really driving up rent and housing costs, which is why I'm glad that the speculators and slumlords like Vantage Management LLC are losing their shirt.
