Depends on the ability of the therapist. If they have great touch and don't need to dig or use their elbow to beat you to a pulp then 1-2 days before the race is perfect. If the therapist is a hacker pain merchant, find someone else, but in the interim you'll need at least 3 days to recover from a pummeling.
