Well, it all started several years ago (lights cigarette and relaxes on couch). I was in the locker room after practice, and I noticed the other boys; but, for the first time, I saw them "differently." I knew right then and there that I was not like them.

I was hoping this thread would maybe be a place where some truth could come out.

Sometimes there are rumors on internets.

1) Go to the IAAF web site and pull up Alan Webb's biography

2) Open an Excel spreadsheet. Enter years 2000-2009 in one column, and enter his 1 mile season bests in another column

3) Make an X-Y Scatter plot of his 1 mile season best versus year. Add a linear trendline (right click on the data...Add trendline)

You see, the times below the trendline were run by Good Alan, and the times above were run by Evil Alan. Average Alan never runs races, but his 2010 mile SB would probably be 3:51.

Alan Webb ran a really good time trial last month. His plans are to run a low key race sometime before Pre's. This will be a rust buster before he plans to run under 3:53 at Pre's.
