Olympic Athletes on US Team on the Same HS XC TEAM !!!

I recall Jack Daniels saying that 3 future Olympians were at his HS at the same time.

Of course Steamboat Springs HS can probably generate some lists like this.

Pretty amazing to have all those guys on the same team. Would be interested to know if they were all locally raised, or moved to Saranac Lake to have access to ski/biathlon facilities at Lake Placid.

Would be quite a team reunion!

According to their local news they were all BORN and RAISED in the Adirondacks which is gotta be pretty rare for that amount of talent of course it probably helped having Lake Placid right there to train.

dont think Matthew Dougherty was on the US Olympic triathlon team. Or any US world championship team.

Goes to show that all you have to have in winter sports is the money and facilities to learn the sport and you can make it to the olympics. Winter sports are just niche events that a couple hundred people ever even attempt.

Check your facts simple google search shows him on 2003 and 2004 team and 15th Place finish at the 2003 ITU World Championships and that he is a collegiate XC and Track coach not hard to use google so just check your facts!

Not sure what that even has to do with this thread but you can check where else I have commented and its commonly about maryland and southern running.

Do you have something against that school ? Anyways checked the information above it all seems legit. I also checked Tivo last nite and heard a brief mention during the biathlon of these guys running together.

It’s true. I went to the same High School and remember all of them. I was amazed when I saw they made the Olympic Team. It was a very exciting time for our little mountain town.
