The times for the senior mens is run at sub 27:40 10000m pace an carried on for another 2000m in a x-country race. The junior men's 8k is run well under sub 28 minute 10000m pace and the junior women are the first I've seen to complete 6km under 19 minutes. They should challenge Kenenisa and Tirunesh in the next couple years or was the course short or times inaccurate? Check the results and tell me what you think?

The times are accurate, it's the distances that aren't.
Could you perhaps provide us with some evidence for your assertion? That is, beyond the "they are faster than me so they must be cheating, or the course must be short" line of reasoning? Is it perhaps possible that someone is faster than you because they work harder?
From my experience in different countries, the emphasis on times in XC is quite unique in the US. Of course, you have measured courses with 1k,3k,5k etc. splits which provides for accurate courses.
However, in many European countries and also assuming the same for Uganda, it's not that much about times in XC. Courses even at the same meet are not always exactly the same distance as the previous year. Therefore, I think we can assume the course was not exactly as long as stated (which does not change the fact that these Ugandan runners are running incredibly fast).
He didn't say they were faster than himself. He's saying they may be faster than Bekele, which would throw a bit of doubt in a lot of people's minds.

1.) 32:42
2.) 32:53
The Men's winner averaged slightly over 2:43 per kilo zipping past 10000m at 27:10 and maintaining that for another 2000m.
Junior boys 8km
1.) 21:40
2.) 21:47
with two more under 22:00.
Avg per kilo 2:42 with FOUR junior passing close to sub 13:30 for 5km and not slowing much for another 3km.
Junior Girls 6km
1.) 18:39
2.) 18:57
averaged alittle over 3:06 per kilo, passing 5000m in about 15:30 and running another kilo slightly slower but not much.
The times for the distance is what makes sane people question the accuracy of the distance. If those distance and the times are accurate than those athletes will no doubt be a threat to defeat anyone including Kenny B and Babyface destroyer Tirunesh. Its not highly unlikely that 8-9 athletes from Uganda could improve that much to post such times for those questionable distances.

It's not likely that 8-9 athletes.
Point is that the results could be believed if one athlete from the Championships posted such a blazing time. The number of athletes running that fast from Uganda over those distances clearly means the courses weren't accurate in my opinon.
we know moses kipsiro is for real as his 12:50 best at 5k shows, uganda is a neighbor country to kenya, similar lifestyles very few have money, a huge amount of the way people get from place to place is by foot (example walk or run to school) if you look at the people in uganda they are similar in body type to kenyans (ectomorphs meaning skinny) i would think the talent in uganda would be similar to kenya's though their running program is not nearly as developed, still they had a 9:16 female steepler a few years ago when that was the record, they have another runner boniface kiprop wha has run a 26:41 for 10k.
uganda, tanzania (bayi, shahanga, ikaanga, nyambui etc) and other countries near kenya i am sure have tons of undeveloped distance talent. as countries in west africa have lots of undeveloped sprint talent, nigeria i would think has so much undeveloped sprint talent, with good coaching, facilities and nutrition, they could surpass jamaica and maybe even the USA.
sorry for rambling off topic, but yes uganda absolutely could be a force in distance running if they want to be.

So your telling me you think the distance and times are both accurate? They have two guys who can both run 27:10 for 10000m and hold that pace for another 2000m? A junior girl who can run sub 15:30 pace and hold it for another 1000m? Four junior guys who can run sub 13:30 for 5000m and hold that same pace for ANOTHER 3000m, all on x-country surfaces?
They have talent sure but no way are those distance accurate. There isn't one country- not Ethiopia, Kenya, USA, etc- that could find the same number of athletes to produce ALL those times if the x-country distances were actually accurate!
The course is all downhill from what I heard.
douglas, it's not only that Ugandans are similar in body type, etc., but that many Ugandan runners are Kenyan transplants.

These are qualifying races. Distances are not listed nor especially relevant.
