Both were essays and I practically copied word-for-word off some website for each essay.
What should I expect for this hearing? I have a clean record in my college. I'm just not sure if I should be coming with anything such as a letter of apology to show I regret what I've done. (Which I do, and it's not just because I got caught.)
You have a 'clean record'. Does this mean 1) you have not cheated before; or 2) you have not been caught before.
I cheated once (did not get caught), on an AP calculus class at the end of HS - it did not count for anything (i.e., no college credit) since it was in the early days of AP courses and those things were just being worked out. Earlier today I was ruminating on this (which is why I am responding here) and I have always regretted having done so.
I also recall the time I was caught stealing as a 7, 8 or 9-year old -- getting caught was one of the best things that happened to me -- maybe this will have a similar effect on your life.
P.S. I have been on the other side of cheating as a college prof (although I no longer teach, but I see it often in my wife's classes).
