Anyone have any information on next weekend's PSU National Invitational Mile? Who will be running? Who will be rabbiting? Is a sub-4:00 mile anticipated?

Bumbalough and Taye should be interesting
Matt Lincolns broken 4
and Steve Magness? ... didn't see that one comin'
forget the mile... 800 gonna be nasty
Sam Bair... also an interesting entry.
Also 21 runners? a lot of them dont deserve to be entered in an invite mile.

Correct.
Don't worry, they wouldn't run 21 in the main invite heat.
Taye has been mailing it in since he got to GU--could be a warm up for bumbalough, first race of the year or a sub 4 perf--hard to say. He's probably shooting for NCAA 3k title since I'm not sure if Gtwn will put together a competitive dmr for ncaa indoor--they might or might not since 1200 + 800 legs are up in the air.
van ingen
anyone know if they have a rabbit?
No rabbit.
No Penn State miler.
Winner will run 4:01 because nobody has balls to go 59 for first 400 meters. If up tp potential, you could see 8 guys under 4:02!
I've seen G-Town set up pacers at meets that weren't their own. so you never know
Since when is redshirting, getting injured and making all BigEast mailing it in?

since he should be winning big east and making all-american. that's when
He's middle of the pack at Gtwn, I suspect he gets a full ride- I hope he can realize some of the promise he showed in HS, but he does not seem to have improved a lot in college. Maybe he'll prove me wrong this wknd, would love to see it

It's not that uncommon for non-PSU athletes to rabbit some of the races at these meets (like someone else said, GT has had a few).
Plus, are the heat sheets out? There are several PSU milers entered, and Fuller (running unattached, but from PSU) is an 800 kid primarily, I believe. So look for him to rabbit, probably.
Matt Lincoln has a strong history at this race, so if he's in good shape look for him to dip under 4, assuming the pacing isn't blown.
And by "are the heat sheets out?" I mean have they listed who's in which of the two invitational heats. I haven't seen them, just the list of the 21 guys.
I can pretty much guarantee Fuller will be in the fast heat, and will rabbit the first 800.
I have recently been told that this race has had a rabbit for the last several years, I am sure that the key competitors will know who the rabbit is and will know the pace, most likely 58-1:58 for 400/800.
Looks like 21 runners are entered. I'd bet that the fast heat to have 9-10 (including the rabbit) and the slower section to have 11-12 runners.
The hot heat could be a fantastic race, with several guys under 4:00. I am sure Bumbalough wants to run fast, as do Bair, Magness, and the kids from Gtown. I see 8-9 guys on that start list who have run 4:03 or better.
I am going to attend and am looking forward to it.

Correct.
A few years ago Bair's former teammate Tim Konoval rabbited. It's also not uncommon to have some of the PSU mid-distance guys rabbit.
I can't recall there not being a well-established rabbit for the mile in this meet for the past 4 years.
What is going on with Sam Borchers? That dude ran 2:22 as a freshman and was a HS stud.
