Hello i have recently read the book on The Van Aaken Method having heard of it previously and it really appeals to me. There are some ideas in the book and i know there are some fans of the man over here so was really looking for suggestions of what to do next
Last few days i've been doing the 350m/50m run walks over a 6.3 mile route building up my fitness again lost a bit of it last year for a variety of reasons feels great so far. But am keen to build it up to further distances and to mix it up a bit
Last year i was managing 50 mpw most weeks peaked at 66 mpw longest run was 15 miles with some tempos and intervals
Few facts
I am 41 female and training for my 3rd Marathon my PR is 4:36 which i believe i can greatly improve on as i was in the last pen when i did it in 2008 and it was crowded for most of the way.
so any suggestions i'll be grateful
