I'm trying to figure out what pace I should aim for in my tempo runs.
My PR's do not reflect current fitness. However, I know I can get back to that level with just a month of consistent training.
4:40 1600
16:20 5K
34:30 10K
1:16 Half
I had two workouts this week that were run fairly comfortable. First, a 6 miler at an average pace of 6:15, but 5/6 of it was run at 6:00-6:05 pace. I would say the effort was 80-90%
Then I ran 10 x 400m on the track w/ 200m jog rest ( 90 sec.) btw 73-75sec. This felt easy and completely under control ( 75% effort)
What should I aim for in a 3 mile tempo run? I was thinking 5:50-6:00 pace but wanted to get some lestrun input first. Some tables suggest a quicker pace, like 5:40ish.
