I have both .On some sites they say the streak is 7 ounces .Is it does anyone know which one is less weight.I know the katana are 5.4.So what shoe is less weight and better for a road 5miler to 10k?Or are they about the same?

You're looking at two different shoes. The Streak XC 2 is in the neighborhood of 5-6 oz., the Streak III is closer to 7 oz.
Between the Katana and the Streak XC 2, there isn't much of a difference. The Katana is a little stiffer and a little lighter, the Streak XC 2 is just a tad softer and has a full rubber outsole. You'd probably be fine either way.
I'd go with the Nike Terra TC.
