Really? No one.
I'll say that although I agree with the top-4, by letsrun's stated criteria ("if we knew a certain ranking was between two people, we would stop and ask ourselves, 'Whose season would we rather have?' That person ended up being ranked higher"), they should rank Ryan Brown above Christian Smith. Because if you don't make the WC team, you had better do something pretty spectacular (one of the year's fastest times, a major international win, an AR, etc) to rank above the person who did in order to prefer your season to the team-maker's.
However, I don't think that the rankings should be determined that way. That would be over-rewarding Brown for one (admittedly very timely) good race.
Beyond the top-4 I think it's pretty much a coin toss between guys ranked next to each other, although I think the case for Wheating as #5 is pretty strong because when he was healthy he outperformed the rest.
Nice ranking
Obviously everyone one of these guys had great years and are strong runners
However it seems tough to make the list if you are not 1- On the WC team or 2- named Christian and forever be famed for a great lean (cough cough a fall) or 3- a top NCAA runner....(less K Williams)
there were many great post collegiate guys who had strong years but maybe not the marquee NCAA showings
However I do understand that is the nature of the beast running a championships be it collegiate or not helps again I am splitting hairs all these guys are animals and very deserving
Nice ranking though
Brown should be #3. Peaked when it mattered to better his career and was within .02 sec of Smith's best (I am a big Smith fan from way back, BTW)
You couldn't be serious about thinking at all of putting Hernandez ahead of Wheating...wtf?? Indoor is a sideshow.
Symmonds is the worst tactician ever. He lost all composure in the 800 final and slapped his way around a guy in the worlds final then faded bably and at WAF I have no idea what the hell he was trying yo do. Maybe set the record for running in lane two? Two biggest races of the year, two failures.
