I took too much time off (2 weeks) after the season... then ran around 50 mpw (peak mileage is 70) then 2 days off this week means only 40-45 mpw...
If the next 6 weeks I hit 60-70, will I be okay for track??

youre done. quit now
Well it means 1 week of 20 mpw after xc, another week of 30 mpw, then 50, now 40-45...
So I need to get 60-70 for the next 6-10 weeks to get into shape...
I didn't take any break. Then all of a sudden 4 weeks later, I didn't run for 4 days. No shape lost at all for me I believe.
you won't lose any fitness from taking 2 rest days, in fact you might gain some fitness in the short term because of recovery and regeneration, and with many weeks of solid training before the season, 2 days off now will mean absolutely nothing by track season. It's crazy to think like that.
