He is "profoundly sorry"...that he got caught.
He's going through such a "difficult period" in his life because...he got caught.
Oh poor poor Tiger. What a shit head.
Yeah, nice title dip****. Because that is really what the articles say and that is really what Tiger said. I bet you support climate change too...
what a bitch. I couldn't give two shits what's going on in his personal life. I respected him for the athlete he is, but I no longer respect him.
read the earlier article from chicago paper. the wife gave him the ultimatum, golf or her and he's chosing her and the family right now. she even said he isn't going hotel hopping around the globe for tournaments without her and the kids in tow and the kids aren't old enough yet according to her. if he plays one tournament in 2010 i'd be suprised. Elin is testing him to see what his real priorites are, his family or his win total, and if he's a quarter of the man his father thought he was he'd throw the sticks in the back of the garage and take as much time as needed to fix his f-ups.

Not playing golf will just give him more time to cheat on his wife. He can now spend all his time using his superior intellect to mastermind ingenious ways to cheat on that bitch, and this time he will NOT get caught.
IF I were Tiger I could not play in a tournament for a long time. Who would other than JOHN DALY?
Tiger thinks he can just hide behind some statement written by his agent and people will forget. Well I won't forget even if other do. I am so angry about this, he thinks he can go around and cheat and get away with easy sex while leaving his spouse at home to cook his meals, clean the house and take care of the kids while he is out there have the time of his life. twiddle thumbs. Well Tiger buddy not so fast we got your number now.

Can you imagine if you were caught cheating on your wife and:
1) She didn't file for a divorce right there on the spot.
2) She insisted that you QUIT YOUR JOB and just chill all day at home on the sofa.
That would be so sweet.
...and in other news Phil Mickelson was spotted jumping for joy outside his California home yelling 'Take as many years as you need Tiger - family comes first."
Think about how great this is for golf though in the long run.
He will no be done forever.
After this all blows over, and he comes back, it is going to be insanely huge.
When MJ came back to basketball that was one of the biggest news ever.
Woods returning to golf is going to be a huge thing for golf, bigger then lance returning to cycling.
SkierXCup: I bet you support climate change too...
According to my sources, the OP owns and operates at least three coal-burning power plants. So yes.

He ( Phil ) wouldn't say it, but nobody on The Tour is going to cry while he is gone. They'll just move on until Tiger decides to come back. This is the off season for the players. ( Not Playas though ) Some other scandal will knock this topic off the front page before the The Tour starts in Hawaii.
The sport of golf suffers. Loads of people like myself will not watch golf again until he returns. I have slightly more than zero interest in golf when he is not playing. There will be smaller turnouts at tournaments, and that will mean smaller purses for the fields. Golf will rank right up there with poker and dog shows in hi absence. And yes, when he comes back, I'll be roting for him to kick everyone's ass worse than before. I don't give two hoots about what he does off the golf course. He's a golfer, not my pastor.
Hey Tiger, you probably don't realize it because of your enormous ego, but life goes on fine without you.
I never heard anyone quit the greatest job in the world over an infidelity in the freaking prime of your freaking career. They usually say the best thing I can do is work harder than ever blah blah, all for themselves. And dipsticks still find a way to spin it into tiger bashing.
I didnt know this was called letsgolf.com

Before Tiger I never gave a shit about golf. After Tiger I never gave a shit about golf.
It is an absolute mystery to me why so many people find golf so entertaining. Seems like it should be an obscure niche sport like distance running.

Shut the f*** up.
Tiger is taking time off for now because he's afraid of getting boo'd off the golf coarse.
The middle class finds golf interesting for the same reason rappers find Courvoisier interesting.
I say yawn to golf, yawn to Courvoisier, yawn to rap, and especially yawn to celebrities' sex lives. Hasn't anyone heard of minding your own business?
Unless, of course, he's banging your wife or girlfriend.
If you need gods to worship, go ahead and worship old school gods; don't try to make your sports and political stars into surrogate gods. That's way more superstitious than just embracing religion, you doofuses.
