Thank you.....
I caught it earlier and I guess I came off pretty harsh (but I guess stooping to cursing and dropping a few f-bombs would get me more attention). I probably should have toned it down. BUT my position doesn't change. Give me all the crap you want, her flop was a physical manifestation of poor mental preparation and the inability to deal with being challenged. I'm sorry if a major chink in Jenny's armor was exposed by Kuijken (who, while she also folded, stayed on her feet and fought off the pressure to give up when she was passed).
And to the dude who questioned my coaching abilities..... Jenny B's flop is a prime example of what I challenge my middle school teams to combat. I can accept it at the middle school level due to the young training age and immaturity but at Barringer's level, it's not acceptable.
If she had stayed on her feet, accepted that the win was not going to happen, finished the race in the pack, and not blamed the performance on things that "we" couldn't possibly understand, I would have much more respect for her. All she had to do was say "I wasn't ready for this race". She didn't and that's why I question her attitude and toughness. The women from East Africa are going to see this and laugh. They're already licking their chops.
