That is one short dude!
This dude is going to win. I can't believe even JK picked Derrick. The dude has run 27:28. Are we all forgetting how fat he is?!!!! He also was right on Rupp's tail when he set the 5k AR indoors. He would have won the XC title as well in many many other years. So what, he didn't win Pre NAts. Big deal!! Rupp really didn't get super fir until around Regionals last year either. He is ready now and he is going to bring the pain. Derrick is also taking on greater pressure than anyone else including the overwhelming favorite Chelanga in my opinion. I wouldn't be surprised to see quite a few guys beat him.
Anyone else find it ironic that a Christian school's mascot is 'the Flames?'

Is this a positive thing?
OK. I'll admit that I had a a lot of spelling mistakes, but the fact remains that I was dead on about Chelanga, a 27:28 runner stomping this field. Whoever thought otherwise is an idiot who should keep their predictions, or rather their prejudices, to the themselves in the future. JK:The previous sentence isn't directed at you but in any case, You're lucky we didn't put money on this!!

It's like the flame of the torch of Liberty. Not much irony there.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Des Linden: "The entire sport" has changed since she first started running Boston.
Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
