A high school friend had sent her photo to the producers of a new show from the producers a known family reality show. They have been calling her and like the fact that she is "multi-faceted" and a young mom, and I might add pretty good looking. The money is good and they film us pretty much 24/7 and they promise it won't be cheesy.
I just don't want to become another Jon & Kate.
Don't do it. Nothing good can come of it. I don't understand the attraction and why anybody would agree to be on Wife Swap or the like.
Your wife's friend sent her picture and contact info without informing her? Weird. Is it the biggest loser show? Nah, just kidding.
Seriously it's hard for me to think of something less desirable than being in a reality show.

First off, I'm an idiot because I didn't realize I was posting under my usual/registered name. Now that I have done so, I feel compelled to mention it is a decent show about buzy moms who are married and their daily lives. It is not some trash show like "Wife Swap". It is done by the producers of "Supernanny". I've never seen that show but understand it to be done with some class.
I'm leaning against the idea but was trying to test the waters, al beit, privately. Idiot!
There is nothing decent or classy about Supernanny or any reality shows. You are selling your soul to the devil for cheap TV fame, yuck.

Supernanny is done in a classy way.
Only do it if you think your wife won't dig the attention too much and be open to ditching you for some zillionaire dbag who stalks her after the show.
What's the money like -- make sure you think the money is worth the intrustion. If you are on one episode,no biggie.
Friend of mine was on one of the dog training shows, getting her dog's behavior probs ironed out. It was a cool thing.
a couple years back there was a very funny thread on a guy whose girlfriend wanted to go on the maury show with him, but would not tell him why. got deleted, but was a classic thread.

I am going through something very similar and am noting the responses to this one. My wife has recently been contacted by an ex-boyfriend that wants her to join him and his girlfriend on a beach trip. She has told me that he will be filming some parts of the trip (so it is like a reality show). She has stayed friends with him and gets along well with his wife (she has spent several nights over at their place after going out when I am working late, so it is nothing new).
I think I will let her go as it sounds like they will have fun and I don't have much leave right now.
