Does anyone else think Kiken could beat Barringer?
I think she has a good shot. She looked at ease when she lost to Barringer this season. She has been untested so far and I would love to see her pull the upset. She has looked very flued and effortles thus far, but everyone still seems to think Barringer will run away with it.

She lost but did you actually see the race? She was waiting for her teamates while Barringer was running away. When she decided it was time to go later in the race, she made up ground on Jennifer. So yes, untested so far. And yes, she looked very flued and graceful. She will challenge for the title, no dout.
No. She cannot beat Barringer at any distance.

The only way Jenny loses is if something extraordinary happens to diminish her performance (i.e. illness, injury, lose a shoe during the race, miss the bus, skip the race to play Guitar Hero, etc.).

i think kuijken can run with barringer but barringers strength will show in the later stage of the race. Kuijken is a major talent though whos run 4:05 and will no doubt go low 4's as a pro
She would win without the shoes and might be able to win it while playing guitar hero. Probably would not win if she missed the bus.

Well maybe she has a shot if she can recover from that flu.
Jenny B could stop by the Dairy Queen for a blizzard mid race and still win.
NCAA's are always full of upsets. This can happen. Kujiken has a 3rd and a 2nd from the last two years XC, she stayed for one reason...

Yeah, anything can happen. I remember when Tanya Harding had someone take a baseball bat and attack Nancy Kerrigan in the knee so she could win nationals in skating. So yeah anything could happen. .
And if Kujiken stayed for "one reason" as you surmise then my sympathies are with her. Because unless someone clips her from behind and she loses a shoe, no, even if Jenny lost a shoe she would still finish and win.
