A - for me, the first thing to come to mind is Acceptance: a land founded on the idea of accepting people.
History has made and is making this increasingly complicated.
From the need to come to terms with: the fate of native populations as much as the conflict generated by the threats posed by the current extreme diversity. All this happening in the search of symbols common to all.
But at its roots, Acceptance and its evolving vocabulary, has to be a, if not the founding, characteristic.
Meb's Americanism to some COULD be as routinely cold as a border check or as warm as a tender golden wedding anniversary, but one thing it IS, is unquestionable.
Awesome historic win.
Suggestions for the other letters?
PS. I finally managed to watch some of the video of the race and interviews and the man comes off so genuine, he is an asset to this planet.
