and the other 15% of us can gloat.
But seriously, it is a great day for all of us. 6 Americans in the top 10, and most importantly, Meb at the top of the podium. Great run by the Olympic medalist.

I apologize.
I didn't even know he was running.
Do people on Jeopardy apologize when they get the wrong answer?
Get over yourself.
go usa, you beat kenya, don't read to much into it.you guys have a habit of overeading and over analysing. US had a good day and should leave it at that, trying to say kwambai that kwambai this, well you will be dissapointed when you are proven wrong
It's too late to apologize.....it's too late.....

Bull shit, evrerybody knew Meb was running. They didn't pick, because deep inside they know HE IS NOT AMERICAN!!!
What race?
even before this, Meb was the best current american marathoner. but meb is getting old and ritz and hall are still upcoming.
i voted for abdi because the Black Cactus is the illest. if you've seen his mock "cribs" video, you prob agree

Well played.
Feel free to gloat, but I see no reason to apologize either. I have known Meb for over a decade and did not think he would be the top American (much less win the darn thing). Looking at the information available, Hall seemed the most logical choice.
Nice run by Torres as well.
Very happy Meb won.
I predicted he would win it all weeks ago.
I also predicted that Meb would beat Hall. I just had a hunch.
Ryan Hall is a great runner but need to remove himself from the media spotlight for a while.
And YES once and for all, MEB IS AMERICAN!!!! A *GREAT* AMERICAN!!! He's far more American than my own grandfather, who was an illegal immigrant from Russia.

Someone had guts to bring that up, that kenya lost to US First Meb & Abdi are not true Americans, and kenya didn't even run their top athletes.

No they just ran an athlete who has the Kenyan national record in the distance competed. Clearly not one of their top athletes.
Well Meb is Californian so I can see why he is not a true American, but Abdi, come on he is from McCain's state, surely he must be a true American.
I can honestly say I picked Meb as the first American just because most people seemed to be writing him off.
