Wasn't is Shami that got passed celebrating? And I'm pretty sure it was at Edmonton. Might have to dig out an old Track & Field News...
It also happened in the women's race at the Chicago Marathon a year or two ago. The leading woman got passed in the finishing 100m and she never saw it coming or knew what happened until it was too late.

..it was wld 1/2 in 2005......he said he thought the finish line was earlier, but when u looked at tape he simply let up early...
