I apologize if there's already a thread out there on this -- if there is, I didn't see it.
I'm coming back from injury, and ready to start some workouts towards a half in the next 6 to 12 weeks. I literally have no idea where I am right now, and would prefer not to go out and hammer a 13 mile time trial to find out. Just as an FYI, I'm assuming that I could run it somewhere just below 1:30 right now, and would hope to be in 1:25 to 1:28 shape in the next couple of months.
Does anyone have any good workouts that would predict the kind of half shape I'm in right now? The shorter the workout, the better (though obviously if the workout is too short, I'm assuming it loses its predictive value for the half). I'd like to go run it next week, and then develop a plan from there.
Any suggestions appreciated...
