Sorry I was having fun. Do I really think OSU will go 1,3, 4,8, and 12 for 28 points. No, but I feel that will win without injury. Sixth man DC could move into the top 5 and the score maybe STANFORD and UTEP type, sub thirty points. As Coach DS said last year it takes luck at NCAA'S. last year OSU had none. Maybe this year they will have all the luck and make all you Naysars into Yeahsayser. I do really think GF will be number ONE. GO OSU, MUCHACHOSBACAS!!!(Cowboys)
Let's here it for OSU 28 point at NCAA'S

OK, so I know you're trolling but what the heck, I'll bite.
My understanding at this point is that both Vail and Girma are eligible. I'm not positive on this but if so OSU has to be considered a pretty heavy favorite.
That said, I think a really good outcome for them would be 2, 8, 12, 16, 40 for a total of 78 points and a big win. Still not anywhere near the days of the old Stanford or UTEP sweeps, though. -
I would never say 28 points, but I do say if they stay healthy that the team title is well within their grasp and I truly believe that Mr. Fernandez will be crowned the individual National Champion, it won't be easy but he will win....
-
Fernandez top 5 if he finishes, top 3 at best.
DS always talks a big game but a year ago the team was out of shape in the final and couldn't keep up.
Prediction: 8th to 12th -
What typically happens down south is coach gets over ambitious and runs his athletes into the ground. "Look how good we did last year training this hard. Just think how good we'd be if we trained twice as hard!" Harder isn't always better though, and last year proved it.
Vail made the senior xc team last winter, and GF is obviously one of the best in the NCAA right now (maybe not at 10k xc, but he has pretty good range). OSU is pretty deep, so if they can put two in the top 10 and then follow with guys coming in reasonably well, they have a shot. I don't think they'll do it, but top five should be a sure shot. With the talent and numbers OSU has, you could just tell the guys to go out and run however they feel and they'd be top five. -
HEAR. HEAR. HEAR. F***, man. "Here?" That's not a typo. That's stupidity.
I hope you're not as "oldold" as you make yourself out to be. -
uh oh we got a renegade grammar cop, that cleverly spelled modernist backwards for their name.... Come on now doubters you don't think Mr. Fernandez can be a factor at 10k XC ? I know it was only the US Jr Champs, but he rolled the comp and even with an average finish timewise would have been in the mix in the SR race.... He is a year older and will be stronger watch, Coach Smith and Mr. Fernandez have had a full year with each other and know what to expect training and racing wise from each other and the rest of the Cowboys will step their game up and they will perform to the best of their abilities at Nationals and it should bring them a National title... Good luck to all this should a fun XC season....

Yeah. Cleverness. That's, uh, insulting.
Meanwhile, you use punctuation like an ape on sedatives. Ellipses are really soooo much better than your, like, totally average period. Like, so much.
Read a f***ing book. -
I wish them luck but I don't think that Dave Smith has a clue. He is a brilliant recruiter that sucks at the other aspects of coaching.
-
Happy i could insult you I guess??!!??.......could I be a modernist, oops I mean a tsinredom, my bad, and skip the reading a f***king book part, and have your momma dicktate it for me?
-
15.50(5k) to 28.50 (10Km) in two years for Jankowsky.
I guess his training really sucked !!! useless to say that his coach was David Smith.
Challenge me and I will give you more example, thought one would be enough though -
Did Jankowsky ever become an All American or is this another one of the OSU guys that run fast during the season and then underperorm at Nationals? That is what I thought.
-
I think people are still bitter that Mr. Fernandez didn't end up at their school....Coach Smith is just as credible a coach as any other coach out there, he just happens to be more near the beginning of his career than most of his more well known peers that are nearer to the twilight of theirs....
-
That's a nice way of saying he is inexperienced and doesn't have a clue of what he is doing.
-
he must be doing something right Vail is now a low 13:30 5k runner Mr. Fernandez is the defending 1500 meter champ and should either defend or become the odds on favorite in the 5000, Colby Lowe ran 13:55 as a true Freshman, that in itself is some real good coaching, that and Lowe is a very talented young man and will run faster, his Cowboys will run fast with his coaching, unless they are training somewhere else under a new coach and still competing in an OSU uniform and Coach Smith agrees to partial credit...oops wrong program thats some other more experienced coach and program... my bad!

No conscious human being could possibly believe this "prediction" given the talent level at OK St.
Anyone who does not consider them the favorites (still assuming that Vail and Girma are both eligible) is really not paying attention. Probably 1st. Definitely top 3.
And for those out there who just love to criticize Mr. Smith, try both growing up and waking up. Otherwise you are in for a rude awakening come late November.
Cheers -

Yeah, because it's not like any of their runners ever bomb or anything. -
Fernandez took Smith's advice in cross country and look where it got him.
January saw a new German, but Smith still tried to get him to follow in the NCAA 1500!! Fortunately German still ignored him and ran his own race. The same can probably be said for the way he is doing his training.
Lowe's 5k is not as close to the 5k record as his mile was in high school. -
With Vail back for a sixth year, German and the new recruits and transfer, OSU has to be the favorite to win the XC title. However, we all remember last year when a favored, but over-trained OSU completely flopped at nationals. Will Dave Smith show us once again that he can recruit, but not develop a national championship team? Let's not ignore Alabama and their corps of Kenyans, or Stanford with Heath, Derrick et al. Oregon should also be in the top 5 with Puskedra and Centrowitz. So, when we look at it seriously, we see some teams that have been there (i.e. Oregon and Stanford), and we see an OSU with a lot of talent. To me, it seems obvious that Oregon and Stanford will be peaking at the right time. The big question mark is will half the OSU team be injured or burned out by Nationals? It is going to be an exciting XC season...buckle up.
