Say I run a 60s 400m with trainers on. How fast could I do it with spikes? 57? 58?

59-61 would be my guess
some people run slower in spikes
Spikes are worth 0.25 per lap compared to racing flats. So about 0.25 for the 400, 1 second for a mile, 6 seconds for a 10000.
In the rain the advantage of spikes is even greater.
"Trainers" are much heavier than racing flats and spikes depending on the size worth up to 0.5 seconds per lap compared than spikes.
no one runs slower in spikes.
