Not like this is some epiphany.. but I noticed that Bolt's 200m WR (19.3) when divided in two is 9.65. And 9.58 is quite a bit faster than that...
For a long time (1996-2008) the average 100m from the 200m WR was faster than the 100m WR.
So I'm thinking that this will continue to be the case.. after Bolt runs his 200m in Berlin.
MJ's 19.32 / 2 = 9.66
While the 100m WR in 1996 (Donovan Bailey's) was 9.84.
I'm sure more technical (and correct) analysis could be done using all of the records, but...
9.84 - 9.66 = .18 seconds
9.58 - .18 = 9.4s
9.4 x 2 = 18.8s
Bolt can, and will, run under 19 seconds for the 200m.
