Here's my story. I'm going to a be a junior in high school next year. I don't run track. I play soccer. The thing is, I decided to get ready for the upcoming soccer season by going on runs with some of the track guys. Yesterday they did a fast run and I went with them. It was seven miles in total, with 1 mile for warmup, 5 fast miles and 1 mile cooldown. They finished the fast miles a few minutes faster than I did. It took me 31 minutes and 46 seconds to finish the 5 miles. I don't think I ever ran that hard in soccer. I felt like I was dying near the end, but I finished it. I thought I was going to feel like crap today, but I feel pretty good, and feel like going for a run again. They told me I should join the cross country team in the fall, and I was wondering if would be possible to run more than 45 miles per week and still have some energy to play soccer games on weekends. How hard would it be to do both soccer and cross country at the same time?
