We Texans surrender. Seattle is the new king of heat and humidity!
Huzzah! Iced mochas for everyone!
Meanwhile, on the East Coast, the highest temp so far this year was 82F. But that's hot for us. Currently 79F and have 6 air conditioners on in the house. It hasn't cracked 90F here in years.
ugh. just got back. was gonna go 8, but bailed at 5. this sucks. 98 on the thermometer by my apt.
I can't resist to comment on your second line.
Be sure to pet your pu**ies and keep them happy.
If you lived somewhere with heat and humidity, you'd know not to shower for a LONG time after running. Got to let the sweat stop and the body cool down.

Still sweating after showering....
Difference between Seattle and Texas is that almost no one has Air Conditioning!!
The headline is 'Seattle hits 102 - Welcome to the hottest day ever!'

Is this a joke?
Not a joke. Humidity right now, 5:25 in San Antonio, is 37%. This is actually higher than it has been most of the summer and the reason why we actually have slightly cooler (97 degrees instead of 100+) today. It's very humid in the mornings but it is also only 80 degrees in the morning.
The point is it's easy to tell someone to man up when you are in no way inconvenienced by the weather. We expect and accept that around here. A lot different that someone from Seattle deals with. Lighten up on our brothers in running from the NW.
I was wrong and i deserve any jabs that I get. I just checked Seattle's weather and it currently has 25% humidity. That is almost desert dry.
I really felt it for the first time today, but chalked it up to working on the sunny side of the building. Air coming in through the open doorways was like that coming out of a pizza oven (pizza parlor is next door :) Then I get home and see the 102, hottest in my lifetime, or anybody's, spent here.
I planned on going to gym tonight, but no RC there; might go to the UW climbing rock instead.
Not only is it 107 in Portland today, but I checked this morning, local news had us at 66% humidity. By the way, I doubled today, second run started at 2:30. They were both short, but it's not that big of a deal, just drink lots of water, or maybe a cold beer when you finish. Also, I've been in the south when it's really hot, and it's worse than this, not a lot, but worse.

You plan on going to the IMA? I miss that gym.
No, the cimbing gym. I miss the IMA too.
And I meant "AC" not "RC"
I'd rather run in 105 degrees in Arizona or Washington, than 80 degrees and 100 percent humidity in Arkansas.
Kee-RIPES. 1-0-4. The Lake it is!

I ran 12 on the Leif Erikson trail in Portland with Peter Julian today. He drank all (7) my remaining Red Hooks!
7 beers? He should fit in great in Pullman...
I'm planning on a 90 minute run around midnight tonight. I NEVER go shirtless on a run, but think I might tonight. And no sunscreen! Yeah!

Are you talking about the old school rock outside by the stadium?
http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/CBqfN07DqgB0Tkb3i77EXw?select=3dG49ytA2hsZkJyTM3E_kAI live near Seattle and it isn't that bad; we're lucky in that it is a fairly dry heat. Went for a run around 8:45 PM and it was fine.
