No, I am not. I am one of the few people to have met them both. I spoke with Jared about Prefontaine, on the Nike campus just before the film was to start shooting.
It depends on the Pre you met some too. Mustache, no mustache, long hair or not?
Pre was like a lot of famous people, he had that star quality just walking around.
Salazar did not have it, lol, but he was and is a star.
when Josh Mcadams was at BYU he was built like a tank.
he is only like 5 foot 8 or so.... and he was a little bigger. he could seriously fight ( and win) an adult grizzly.
he has trimmmed up in the last few years and doesn't look like a tank, but i bet he would be the best runner/cage fighter if you combined the sports
How about Derek Clayton? 6'1 165. Shattered the WR in the marathon in Antwerp in 1969 with a 2:08 which stood for 12+ years. Like Bolt, he was an enigma...perhaps even moreso given he ran the marathon vs sprints.
