So the article on the front page says research shows that world class runners/sprinters are getting taller and that it indicates that the advantage is great enough to possibly need height categories like they have weight categories in boxing.
We know Bolt is tall at 6'5". But Gay is half a foot shorter.
Maurice Greene was 5'9".
They said Ben Johnson was 6'2" but realy he was 5'10".
In the distances, Geb is 5'3".
Komen was over 6' I believe.
I don't see any correlation between height and speed.
A person of average height can break world records in any distance.
I don't see how they are doing their research. Are they just comparing Bolt to the runners in the early 1900's and saying, "there you go?"
