I was just reading "Daniel's Running Formula" and was very dissapointed that the pace I have done the majority of my milage at (for me 6:15-6:40 a mile) for the past year and a half is basically what he has termed, 'quality junk'. Too slow for tempo and too fast for easy/long run. He claims this is counterproductive and I was wondering if this is true? Is it wearing me down more than necessary and giving me less than ideal effects? Have I been killing the benefits of my suposed (medium tempo as i have called them) runs. (which i do about 4 days a week)?
